It seems that there is a contradiction between God’s mercy and justice. How do you make sense of this?

Jesus died for our sins, but we seem to still suffer the consequences of sin. For example, women still suffer pain in child birth which was a result of the sin of Eve. How does this work?

How do you explain the concept of evil? Obviously, God created Satan … so, essentially, doesn’t He allow evil to happen? Isn’t He ultimately in control of evil? How do we make sense of this?
