Welcome to Elevation Kids!

Elevation Kids exists to reach kids in going to the next level in Christ, so that He may be lifted up.

Elevation is divided into three distinct ministries that reach kids in engaging and relevant ways. Each area is a place where kids learn who God is, have a loving relationship with Christ & others, and live out their faith according to God’s word. We strive to reach children at their level with age-appropriate activities and lessons.

Sunday mornings

Our hope is to make your first time – and every time after that – as inviting and easy as possible. Here’s what to do and where to go:

• Come to the “Elevation Kids Registration Desk”. Look for the sign to the Kids’ hallway.
• Complete a registration form & child nametag and a greeter will direct you to the correct class.
• Your child’s nametag has a corresponding pick-up tag that will be required to pick up your child after services. Make sure whoever is picking up the child has this tag. Our safety policy does not allow us to release the child to anyone not showing the correct pick-up tag.

Backpackers

Backpackers is designed for kids birth to toddlers and is staffed with caring moms, dads, and volunteers who are focused on making sure children are cared for, loved, and accepted.

Infants: We encourage our teachers to pray for and sing with the babies, and/or play soft soothing music in the background. There are a wide variety of toys, swings, and play stations suitable for them.

Walkers: Baby Church is the curriculum we use with this age group. Toddlers are learning to worship through simple songs and truths as well as activities.

What to bring: Diapers, wipes, change of clothes, pacifiers or comfort items, bottles/sippy cups & feeding instructions. Snacks of cheerios are provided for older infants and toddlers.

Saying Goodbye: After completing the check-in process, bring children to the appropriate room, wave a quick good-bye and continue on to the worship service. As you know, it is normal for a child to cry when left in an unfamiliar place. We’ve found that separation becomes easier over time as children grow comfortable with the classroom. Our volunteers reassure children that you will return after the service and work hard to create an engaging and safe feeling environment for every child.

If your child cries for longer than 15 minutes and cannot be comforted we will come and find you in the location listed on the nametag.

Explorers & Hikers

Explorers & Hikers are for kids age two through five. Fun activities & interaction centered about basic biblical truths drive these classes as your child begins to understand “kid-sized” aspects of faith. Our volunteers are crazy about kids and showing them love and care so they can come to understand the love of Christ. Each month will feature one basic truth and memory verse that will be developed weekly as we look at different Bible stories. Children will leave our ministry knowing that God made them, God loves them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever, and having had a ton of fun learning it!

What to bring: If needed, please bring a change of clothes & pull-ups or diapers. A snack of animal crackers will be provided and younger children are welcome to bring sippy cups.

Base Camp

Base Camp is our elementary ministry. A fun-filled, interactive, high-energy time made just for their age group, Base Camp is a place where kids learn God’s truth and how they can live it in their lives today. After an exciting and engaging large group time filled with games, activities, and life changing truth, great volunteers work with single-gender small groups to dive deeper into the daily lesson. We believe that kids can have an intimate and personal relationship with Christ and live their faith out loud in their homes, schools, and communities. We want to encourage kids to know truth and to live it. Everything we do at Base Camp points kids towards that goal.

What to bring: Bible if you have one; but don’t worry we have plenty of extras if you need one!
