Descent into Joy: a study of Philippians (8/9/2009-8/30/2009)

Scripture: Philippians

Philippians is a letter about how to experience profound contentment, and it comes in a package that is different than expected. Contrary to this culture's perspective on ascent and success and speed and movement, joy comes through a path of descent. Jesus said, "if you want to follow me, you must deny yourself" and the Apostle Paul explains how he is living that reality. In this intensely personal letter, Paul shares the secret of being content.
