Married to TJ for 11 years; sons Branson and Hudson; daughters Basden and Esther

Tell us about your relationship with Christ.

Thankfully, I can say that there is not a time in my life I can remember not knowing and loving Christ. I count it among my greatest blessings that I was born into a family who sought Christ, with parents who looked to Scripture and sought the Lord in raising their children and leading our family. Along with this however, I also have a deep understanding of the sin in my life and the need I have for Christ and His desire of a relationship with me and my dependence on him. I cannot imagine living life as a husband, father, and friend without God's word and His help.

How have you been involved in the ministry of Trinity Chapel?

I have served on the Shepherding Team for Trinity Chapel since it began in August 2004. I have been involved as a community group leader, have led the greeting ministry, and have participated in Celebrate Recovery.

What's your vision for the TCBC body?

My vision for the TCBC body is to be a place where people feel accepted and grow in their understanding of the Truth of Christ! A place where we live in transparent relationship with each other, encouraging each other toward Christ. I want for the TCBC body to impact the world around us for Christ, both near and far, and to love in such a way that we shine as a beacon that draws people into a relationship with Christ.

How do you view your role as an elder?

First, I consider it a privilege, and desire this opportunity to serve Christ and TCBC in this capacity of overseer. I believe that in our church structure, the elder role is invaluable to ensure that as a body, we learn, live, and love in a way that is consistent with Scripture and fosters growth and an understanding of the truth of scripture. My role is to ensure that the body is spiritually nurtured and follows a path in pursuit of Christ.
