Timm Sasser

What's your name?

Timm Sasser

How old are you?

35

Where are you from?

Born in Pasadena (Houston), TX and have lived all over. But Ft. Worth is definitely home. Graduated from Baylor University (where I knew TCBC Elder Corbin Wilson) in 1994, and it took another 13 years to finish my Masters at Dallas Theological Seminary. I’m not very bright.

What do you do for a living?

I run a floor contracting company based out of McKinney, TX, and do some assorted other business stuff. I’m basically a janitor. What can I say, I like things clean.

Tell us about your family.

Katherine is my wife of 7.5 yrs, and I really like her. We have two daughters, Annie (5) and Norah (5 mos), and one son, Jake (almost 4). I am undone by them in the greatest of ways.

Tell us about your relationship with Christ.

God saved me while I was a sophomore in college and has provided me with opportunities to serve Him since that time. I am brought low by the truth that our Creator would want to be in a relationship with humans, much less me, and I try to live my life in view of that. My life as a follower of Christ to be a reflection of His love for me expressed through His salvation of me, and while sometimes I reflect Him better than others, I long to please and serve my Heavenly Father with all I am.

How have you been involved in the ministry of Trinity Chapel?

Led a Small Group for 3+ yrs (love those people), taught various Trinity University classes, set-up team guy, some Sunday morning teaching in Big Church, Celebrate Recovery.

What's your vision for the TCBC body?

To be a fellowship of authentic followers of Christ who love one another deeply, know one another fully, and grow together as we use what we’ve been given to serve the Body. I want us to know God intimately, as I am convinced that if we know Him we will only want to give all we have to serve Him and share Him with a hurting world that needs Him desperately.

How do you view your role as a deacon?

To serve the Body using the gifts He’s given me. Specifically, as the benevolence deacon, I view my role as providing opportunities to be a true help at the point of need for those in our body, as well as for those in the community. We have people who need help, and TCBC has people with resources who can provide to those in need, whether those needs are physical, emotional or spiritual. I want to help our church grow by allowing opportunities for us to serve one another.

Finally, if folks in the TCBC body want to get in touch with you during these pre-vote weeks, what's the best way to do so?
